On December 10, 2024, the first episode of the upcoming series Pilgrims of Faith premiered in a full cinema hall of the largest cinema in Zlín, Filmana. This pilot episode is titled: FATHER IVAN.
It seems increasingly incomprehensible when someone fully dedicates their life to working for others, dedicating it to something intangible. They voluntarily give up the possibility of starting their own family (in the case of Catholic priests), thereby preserving their lineage, which may seem like one of the basic human needs - “to leave something or someone behind.” What do priests leave behind? What is the meaning of this vocation in today's world?
Together with Priest Ivan Fišar from Zlín, we set out on a journey into the past in the pilot episode of the upcoming series, visiting parishes where he has served for over fifty years.
