A well-known film telling the historical event from Fatima, Portugal, that took place in 1917. Three children claimed to have seen the Virgin Mary. This inspired other believers but provoked anger among representatives of the Catholic Church and the government. They tried to force them to withdraw their statements. But the news of the prophecy spreads, and tens of thousands of pilgrims flock to Fatima in hopes of witnessing a miracle. They experience something that will forever change their lives.
Ivetka and the Mountain (2008)
A Czech documentary film about the spiritual experience of a girl named Iveta on the Slovak mountain Zvir. On August 5, 1990, she and her friend saw the Virgin Mary, who then appeared at this place for five years. The site attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors, and after some time, the church recognized the location. Today, Litmanová is a Marian pilgrimage site right in our backyard.
Mary - Mother of Jesus (2022)
A Czech documentary about the transformations of veneration and representation of the Virgin Mary over the centuries. Mary is recognized not only in Christianity, where she is usually referred to as the Mother of God by the Church, but also in Islam, as she is mentioned in the Quran as the virgin mother of Jesus. Through her fidelity to her mission and her virtues, she has become an example for all women and men.

A French comedy that proves that humor and depth can go hand in hand. Gad returns to France after years in the USA but must face a stormy reaction from his Jewish family, who learn that he has converted to Catholicism and holds special reverence for the Virgin Mary. The story is not only full of funny moments, but also profound questions about what it means to be a believer and how to reconcile love for family with one’s own spiritual beliefs. Gad is also the director of the film and cast his own family, all playing themselves.
Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort
Who was Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort? The documentary explores the personality of this unique French saint and author of the books On True Devotion to the Virgin Mary, The Secret of Mary, and others. His work greatly influenced Pope John Paul II - for example, his papal motto was a fragment of Louis's prayer.
Two Crowns (2017)
A Polish docudrama capturing the life of St. Maximilian Kolbe, who saw the Virgin Mary in his childhood and was given a choice between two crowns - of perseverance or martyrdom - he chose both. He became a Franciscan with great respect for the Virgin Mary and a promoter of using modern means for pastoral care and evangelization - for example, he founded the Knights of the Immaculata. In the end, as a prisoner in Auschwitz, he volunteered to die to save the life of a fellow prisoner.
